Family Portraits at Point Sebago in Maine
Point Sebago Children’s PortraitIn 2015, I went to my Springfield College reunion and reconnected with many people I had not seen in 30 years. One person happened to hire me to photograph their family reunion a couple months later. What a great family!!!! So Thank you Liz!!! While I was creating their family portraits some magic happened. I am mentioning this for my photography friends and students to show them that great photography does not have to include photoshop or a flash or a reflector. (Don’t get me wrong I use them all the time). But in some cases every things comes together. The above portrait other than being cropped and white balanced, this is all natural light, strait out of the camera. Graham is the amazing subject and this was taken at Point Sebago Resort in Casco, Maine.
But back to the family. Reunions are one of the more popular times to do a family portrait. One reason is , I only charge one session fee for all of the families, including the big group of everyone. People like that. It is always interesting to see all of the things that keep a family together. I see it in the way everyone so excited to catch up and remember the good ole days. It is equally exciting to see how all the families have their own personalities. So, my job is to capture each families personality and the connections that keep it every one together. All the while showing of the beautiful landscapes of Maine, in each family grouping. As you will notice in the following images family has their own style.
